This role gives the candidate exposure to our expanding service portfolio, business strategy, quite diverse operations and high level business risks as well as interactions with our senior management and decision makers. Specific Responsibilities Performs diverse risk and assurance assignments of our offices and laboratories including Operational reviews of key business operational processes, Assessments of key financial process controls at country head offices, Post acquisition integration reviews and Special projects , At offices ranging from small to large and throughout the region, but with potential for involvement in global projects , Identifies risk control gaps in processes and proposes constructive and practical solutions to management. Applies our risk focused audit approach utilizing a leading comprehensive audit and risk management software solution. Participates in improvement of our audit practices and methodologies, and in the creation of risk and control guidance material for process owners, Builds and maintains effective working relationship with country and senior management teams,

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide the required leadership, coaching and processes to successfully deliver on the OI strategies. Development, implementation and alignment of processes to ensure that all employees and contractors are provided a safe and healthy working environment. REPORTING LINE National OI Manager- HSE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES • Engage, influence, coach and support the business to promote continual development and improvement in the safety culture • Establish agreed processes and behavioural expectations to achieve HSE objectives and targets. • Ensure that adequate HSE coverage is provided to the State that has been assigned. • Ensure each business line/facility has a HSE Management plan • Assist to develop and maintain risk/hazard registers for all facilities and ensure that risks/hazards identified are communicated and plans are in place to minimise exposure to all people • Facilitate a consistent approach to risk management ensuring each business line/ facility has an updated risk register and sites are trained and are using risk management tools such as take 5’s and JHA’s • Ensure incident investigations are completed for all and potential high risk incidents and all injuries requiring medical treatment, with managers leading the investigation to identify roots cause and required corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure all investigations and actions are entered into crystal • Conduct regular HSE visits to all areas of responsibility interacting with the management team and workforce to determine suitability of processes, risk management, safety behaviours, field inspections and system audits • Facilitate the reporting and recording of all Incidents • Coach and provide advice through all company levels on how best to meet responsibilities and the HSE standards expected • Establish process to complete or facilitate internal HSE audits of sites on a scheduled basis. • Actively work with the OI team and SGS business lines to proactively...
