PROFILE

• Knowledge of the New Zealand food industry, including but not limited to domestic food and MPI approval functions and activities.
• Either audit experience or practical working experience in the food industry.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in preferred sector or a variety of food related industries
• Auditing experience (Food Industry preferable).
• The ability to work competently and effectively on your own or as a member of a team. 
• Professional presentation 
• Self-motivation 


REQUIRED SKILLS

• Tertiary Qualification (e.g. Degree or Diploma in Food Technology with Microbiology, Dairy Science  or equivalent science degree
• Food Manufacturing experience
• Preferred Scheme Experience: MPI regulatory, High-risk HACCP; BRC; SQF; GGAP; MPI RMP (any), WSMP; ISO22000, FSSC22000 or similar
• Successfully completed a 5-day registered Lead Auditor Course (based on ISO9001 or ISO22000).
• Demonstrates attendance at a 2 day (min) recognized HACCP training course.
• Sound knowledge of ISO 17020 Standard and Quality Management principles.
• Ideally holds Lead Auditor/Assessor qualifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commercial focus combined with customer service skills
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft word & excel skills
